Our very close family friends have a beautiful calico cat named Molly and when they went out of town, their pet sitter accidentally let her outside where she stayed for 2 days! This was about 5 weeks ago and they are starting to worry about her being pregnant. After knowing about what happened to bonnet, they are concerned. Here is a picture of her and so I was just wondering if yall could tell if she looked preggers? She has always been pretty slender so just the size of her belly at this point is what caught my eye

Looks pregnant to me. Two days outside when not spayed is almost a guarantee of pregnancy in cats.

I also would say she is pregnant. Her nipples seem pink, and as you said her belly seems larger, it's 2 signs that indicate that she is.

Hi again! After my last post we have confirmed that she is pregnant. Although my friends are fearful that what happened to my cat when she got pregnant will happen to molly here, they still want to be prepared and make sure they take care of her. From their calculations, Molly should be 5 weeks along as of Friday, but she is already VERY round and looks like she could be farther along. She is cleaning herself almost every second of the day they say and when she's not doing that she's sleeping on their laps. What they would like to know is if this could be an indication of how many kittens she is carrying or if she is farther along than they thought? Thank you for your last comments by the way!

Congratulations to Molly!  We have a good collection of articles in the Cat Health section which you can access by scrolling up to the brown bar, clicking on Articles, and then choosing the Cat Health section and scrolling through the choices.  To make this super easy for you, I am copying the links regarding birth, delivery and newborns for you here.  You can pass these links on to Molly's family so they will be completely prepared for everything.  Invite them to this site also, they will probably want to ask soe questions of their own in the future.

Thank you! We still don't know why she is so large at this stage but who knows? I guess we'll see

Hi again! My friends have gone out of town and have put me in charge of taking care of molly while they are gone. I went over to see her tonight and she has been very loving and sweet towards me but she seems slightly uncomfortable. She's twitching her tail and moving her position quite often. U.S. There any reason for it or is this normal?

It's been awhile since I've posted mollies status and just to let everyone know, she is doing great! (We think!) she is very very fat and is starting to have little kicks in her belly and sleeps all the time! Her owners tell me that she is always sleeping on cool surfaces like on glass tables an even in the sink[emoji]128514[/emoji] and in my experience being pregnant, I was ALWAYS hot. Every time I go over there she is extremely loving and sweet. Even though she isn't my cat I am more than excited to see her kittens! I mught possibly get one myself lol

Glad she is progressing well! I'll bet you do end up with one (or two) of Molly's kittens down the road! It's great that you are keeping up with her! Thanks for the update! :)

Okay milky seems like she may be in labor! She has been somewhat agitated all day according to her owners and apparently there was a clear discharge coming from her bottom early this morning that has since slowed to a slightly brownish-orange discharge. She has been laying on their cool glass table all day and keeps changing her position to almost the mating position, where she lays on her chest with her haunches up in the air. The timing is just about right but we don't know so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds to me like she has been in early labor all day and she will likely give birth overnight or in the morning! :)

Okay update on Molly! She is not really having that discharge happening right now and she's actually acting pretty normal- her breathing is still heavy and she still will only lay on her haunches but she is going over every once in awhile to drink (a lot by the way) and eat. Also- about every 10-15 minutes she will flinch or shift positions, almost looking like she's having a contraction so is this normal?

It does sound like she's in labor.  Make sure you have everything ready as listed in the articles I sent you three weeks ago (see post #5 above), get yourself a good book or something and settle in beside her if she seems to want you to be there.   I'm attaching a photo of my foster Moonpie a few hours before she delivered five healthy fat kittens, starting around midnight and going until about 4 AM.  She had such an enlarged uterus we were sure there was one more kitten, but there wasn't.   Molly looks almost as Moonpie here.

Yes, definitely sounds like she's having contractions. As I said in my earlier post, she will likely deliver overnight or in the morning. Are you there, or just getting reports?

I'm at their house for a few days while my house gets fumigated (perfect timing I guess huh!?) so I can report as I see new signs! I'm just hoping that everyone turns out happy and healthy!

Wishing you a good night and maybe happy babies in the morning.  I'm about to go to bed because I'm in Georgia and it's nearly 1 AM here, but we are an international group so somebody should be here if you needtro scream for HELP, but let's hope you don't have any problems.  Gather your supplies and be ready.  Hopefully I will find pictures of newborn babies here when I check back in the morning.  This is what Moonpie's babies looked like after she got them all cleaned up.  They were FAT, especially the two orange boys.
