Do you have any prom, bridesmaid or wedding gown(s) in your closet?  (How about tuxes or formal shirts and ties for any guys who decide to answer today!)

I'm awful about getting rid of sentimental things.  I have my wedding gown. But I also have 2 bridesmaid dresses and a couple dresses from homecoming and proms in high school.  I know I got rid of a few.  They waste space and I know I could turn them into dress up things for my DD; I just haven't.  I also have my mothers wedding dress from when she married my Dad.  Last year my BFF turned a bridesmaid dress from my wedding into a dress for my DD and a vest for my DS.  I had the kid's pictures done in them and framed professionally as a keepsake. I won't be able to let go of those either.  I'm glad one of our friends and my step-sister still had their dresses from my wedding!

Nope, I went through a personal disaster over a decade ago n lost pretty much everything.

If you ever wanted to declutter, you might consider turning some of these items into quilts. Not sure I could do that to wedding dresses, but it's something to consider.

I haven't been a bridesmaid since I was about 12, so no, I don't have any of those dresses. I have the dress and shoes I wore to my sister's wedding, but that was last July so they haven't really entered the clutter category yet.

You never know, I might get invited to another wedding soon and then I could wear them again.

My 35-year-old wedding dress is in my closet, along with the shoes I wore. Both still fit, so I hate to dump them.

I have my wedding dress (not a gown, just a dress), and two matron of honor dresses (my sister and my sister-in-law) in the closet.

I have the dress from my second wedding somewhere.

I really need to get rid of it.  Not like I'm wearing it again nor do I care to particularly hold on to it.

Have yet to wed, and never been a bridesmaid/maid of honour. So the only really formal gowns I have are from my Middle school grad and Prom.

Unless you count all my historical gowns I made! 18th century, Tudor, Regency, Medieval....

No. I have never been a bridesmaid and I got rid of my wedding dress shortly after my wedding. I didn't feel like keeping it. I'm not a sentimental person and it was heavy and taking up room in my closet.

I have the dresses I wore for two weddings. I can't wear either one as I think they are size 6. But I guess I am too sentimental to throw them out. I sort of think when things have been around 50 years or more, they deserve to stay here. :lol3:
