I am feeding my 1.5 pound kitten about 6 ounces of wet food per day spread over 3-4 meals.

I read that you should feed them one ounce per one pound of body weight? Isn;t that too little?

Or am I feeding him way too much?

That rule doesn't apply to kittens. While they're growing they need much more food for their size. It sounds like you're doing fine.

I agree with momto3cats. Our vet said to feed ours as much as they will eat 3-4 times a day.
