Wonderful! I didn't know she had her own cat food!

They are adorable! Looks like they want out to play a bit! Do you get them out to play under your supervision? :)

I took over a huge box yesterday. They were able to stretch their legs. I just fed them and bathed them. They're over there under the fleece blankie. They're pooping and peeing so I'll have to let them walk on the kitchen floor later today (as opposed to carpet).

Does anyone have any suggestions for what to put in foil pan to use as litter? I didn't think of it before but litter may not be a good idea for kittens this young because they might swallow some.

I prefer using pellet type litter (Feline Pine, Blue Buffalo) with young kittens. The pieces are really too big for them to eat and more often than not, the kittens don't really try to eat it. Also, it doesn't stick to their paws like clay litter does.

Here are some pics of some of my angels. The third one is the littlest but he's getting stronger. I gave them some KMR today. As I bottle fed one another would go after the bottom of the bottle or the nipple while it was in the other's mouth. Or they'd lick the mouth of the one I was feeding.

You just got great advice. It is hard to keep kittens alive at this age if they have no mom. You must feed them every 2 hours KMR with a bottle or syringe, tummy down, head slightly up, like they are feeding from mom. Very slowly. They must swallow in between or they will inhale and die. Only 2 ml at a time drop by drop. You must potty them after each feeding. Rub their bottoms with a warm damp cloth or cotton ball so they eliminate. This must happen and they cannot go.on their own. You must help them. Good luck to you. Please ask more questions. They must eat every 2 hours through the night or they will die. You must wake up to feed them. Very serious. Set your clock.

How much KMR is 2 ml? Compared to teaspoon. The girl eats a lot. The smallest eats most in the morning but soon after I start feeding him he wiggles away.

Does anyone know how much of KMR (1/4 tsp?) to give them at each feeding? I no sooner start and they wiggle away like they're done.

Usually the bottles are marked on the outside. The syringes usually have a mark, but they are usually tiny measurements, ml?     The kittens look big enough to take bottles by now. Do you have the Pet Ag brand?  They also have better nipples than the store brand, like Petco, which seem to be shorter. From memory, I gave my Stewart about 2 oz. per feeding, then 3.  I had a hard time at first because I couldn't get the hang of it. I almost lost him!  Once I got the hang of it, he would suck on that Pet Ag bottle so hard that it would concave!

This morning is awesome. The lady that lives here set up the area at the top of the basement stairs safely so they have a lot of room to play and romp. The stairs are blocked so they don't fall. The tiny guy ate a good bit of canned Iams this morning and while cuddling kissed my face. I'm in love. :rub:

If I had my own house I'd foster and have a room just for them with nothing for them to sneak under or behind.

Check out this website. They have a lot of good info on caring for newborn kittens and also information on taking care of stray and feral cats, if you ever need help with that. Where's the mama cat? Is she around or were these kittens abandoned?

The mama doesn't come around. She may have been killed by a car.
