Hi everyone!
My kitty cat has ran away for a night when she was in heat 5.5 weeks ago.
She didn't go into heat since then, so I would guess that she is pregnant, but we had a false pregnancy before (caused by our long castrated boy), so I am not really sure anymore.
Her belly seems to be somewhat "tight" but not bigger or anything than before.
I made a picture of her nipple. What do you guys think, is she pregnant? :)

The nipple doesnt seems very rosy.  But they arent not always.

Did she got more rosey about 3 weeks after her adventure?   Im rather sure she got mated at this occasion - although not all matings do results.

Yes, it was somewhat more rosy around the 3rd week after her little trip outside. But I wouldn't say that it is was significantly more.

We also saw her with a big tom, they actually run away together from me... it is very sure that she mated during that time, and of course she also didn't go into heat since then.

I am actually not sure whether she is pregnant, or would it be a false alarm again?

I guess then it's only waiting... the babies will start moving in like 1.5 week anyways if she pregnant..

I agree, probably but not entirely sure...

Just to wait and see!   And of course prepare yourself as well as you can.

Here some links.

Good luck!

StefanZ, do you think that she should have a huge belly by the 6th weeks?

I don't see it being bigger than normally... and if I google it then all 6 weeks pregnant cats have big bellies.

Is it possible that she only will have 1-2 babies and that's why her belly is not so big or is it an indication that she is rather not pregnant.

Her nipples are still not rosy anyway, but they are definitely a little bit swollen.

Sorry, its a game of guesses. It may be so as you say...  Only a decently experienced vet would know by palpitation,  OR by X-ray or ultrasound...

For us common deadlys ist to play it safe, prepare as well we can for delivery, but be prepared its really just a false preg....

Is spaying OK for you?    If so, go to the vet for check up - if no pregnancy then spay...  A vet usually does some check up anyways before spaying, so it shouldnt cost extra.

Of course, if you are a breeder, you dont want to spay before you are forced to it.
