Help!

Number 6 born. Not breathing right, labored. Not trying to nurse but is crying. What can I do? I cleaned his air way but I think he aspirated. Can they do that with the fluid from the sack?

Whew! Quick thinking on your part! You have done well! Hopefully he will thrive. So is she done now after six? Big day for all!

I see your post for help again. Is he okay now?

Glad you're weighing them. Try to observe if he latches and it takes. Otherwise, put him at a nipple when the others are sleeping, but do not hesitate to supplement along with the nursing until he gets bigger. Runts can be feisty! :)

PS: My phone did something weird so I thought you had put out another call for help. Sorry!

Awww! Beautiful little cow kittens! I see a tabby too! How precious. Mom looks tired but satisfied! Kittens look nice and healthy! :)

5 male one female and she has lungs on her!

All the cow kittens have brown on them, so far only a little bit and two brown tabbys [emoji]128571[/emoji]

I have to work tomorrow for 10 hours. Do you think the little runt will be ok?

You'll know by morning before you head out if he's nursing sufficiently or not. If he's not, are you able to bring him with you for feedings/pottying? Or have someone you trust check on him or feed him for you? Let's hope he's fighting for his fair share!

I'll have to bring him to work with me, no one around to feed him. He's latchjng now but ill have to keep checking his weight. He's only 95g

I tried the bottle he refused it, worse case I'll ty a dropper or 1ml syringe or a sponge pad

I'm exhausted, mamma looks better than me!!

It can stress the nerves! He'll need to stay warm as well while he's with you, which means a heating pad on low under a blanket, or a sock filled with rice and microwaved , then wrapped in a towel and placed near him in his box or carrier.

Dropper is easier to control than a syringe with a newborn. He won't take the bottle when he has a mom. Do you know the correct way to feed? On his tummy, head slightly up as though he's nursing from mom, and a drop or two in the side of the mouth. Let him swallow, breathe, and go again. Every two hours, then potty by tapping his bum gently with your fore finger until he goes. He'll need gentle back pats to burp in an upright position. Then put him with mom when you get back home. He still needs her too.

Do you think he's good to stay with mom tonight so you can sleep? Naturally we want him nursing from her as much as possible, especially to get her antibodies the first couple of days.

Try to get some rest! Has mama kitty eaten?

I won't be sleeping much. He'll stay with mom but I'll have to take him to work. I need to get him to latch on for him to nurse.

I've had lots of bottle ️babies from newborns but none that still had their mom

Mamma is eating when I make her as well

He's nursinf by himself! In going to stay with tem a bit longer then try to get some sleep. I've gotten 3 hours in the last 2 days

I got him todat for 15-30 mins straight and he seems much stronger. Going for the nipples himself. I have hope now that's him nursing, the spotted one [emoji]128571[/emoji]

That's great news! He's a cutie! Do hope you can get a few good hours of sleep. Mama kitty too - been a huge day for both of you. It's a really good looking brood!

And good luck tomorrow, though you sound as though you have loads of experience!

Mamma didn't scream at all last night when I left the room and seemed well rested. I got 5 hours yay!!

Thank you! This part im good with LOL. It was the pregnant and not knowing how far along she was that made me a crazy freak

All gained weight except for one who seems to have lost weight (number 4) wen the runt gained 5g!!! ... I'm hoping I just weighed numbe four wrong, he was happy and healthy this morning and nursing so I decided leaving him with Elsie is the best thing
