I went to college for 2 years, Rutgers University but officially, on the Livingston campus.

Back then, the campus was not the best of Rutgers.  Lots of "unrest" - it was the late 70's.

I joke that I was taking "Space Studies".  In other words, I didn't do much but take up space.  Had a lot of issues there too long to go into but suffice it to say that by my 2nd year, I had it and quit.

My main area of study at that time was psychology.  I still have a big interest in it as a topic.

I have good and bad memories.  Best is I met a group of friends who became those life long friends.

I have an AAS in Architectural Engineering - Interior Design focus.  I started out as a nursing major with the intention of becoming an RN and getting my bachelors.  I decided I didn't want to work with people: I was afraid I didn't have the patience.  Sometimes I regret that; nursing jobs are so varied I could have found something for me.  Jobs in Interior Design are hard to come by here.  That meant I took my degree and did clerical work.
Actually I also taught clerical skills for a few years.  I can't say I miss that; though I didn't hate the jobs.

But I was very happy and did very well in my classes.  I miss the friends I made then.  I only have contact with one through social media.  it was a small school; so you got to know everyone and had some professors more than once.  I even had one contact me with a few job opportunities; which was really nice of them!  My intention was to transfer to a larger school for my bachelors.  I got married instead and moving wasn't an option.  I don't regret not taking it further.  I loved what I learned; but I'm ok not having a career in it.  My goals have changed as life has lead me in other directions.

I went to several colleges and way too long as I did and still do not know what I want to be when I grow up! I have an AA in Respiratory Therapy, a BA in Clinical Psychology and a Masters in Research Psychology. I finish everything I start. I wasted a great deal of time and should have just done the Ph.D straight away. If you have a plan you save years.

I am still looking for  full time job in college academia doing anything from teaching, to advising, to research.

Well, I got married very young and had our son, so I didn't make it to college right away. I think I started college when I was 40 as a non-traditional (meaning old) student. And because I could only go part time, it took me about ten years to finish. I worked a full time job and took 2-3 classes a semester, including summer semesters. CLEPped out of a few classes too. Basically CLEP meant that I studied on my own, took an exam, and if I passed the exam, I got the credits. I did that for a few general education classes like History, Sociology, Psychology, an entry-level Chemistry class, College Algebra, things like that. Our son really helped me through Algebra; I had never had anything like that as I had taken the Business Curriculum in high school. It was "interesting" having my son tutor me through Algebra.

Anyway, I decided to major in Geography and do a concentration in Environmental Planning. And I loved it. It was so interesting. The courses that I needed were interesting. I loved Biogeography and Soils and I loved the Geology classes that I had to take. The whole thing was amazing. Truly. I loved it all. I loved doing the research and then writing the papers for classes. I remember taking a class in Technical Writing and that has helped me so much in my job now.

I did my internship working for a state agency, so my tasks involved doing research and helping to write articles for their newsletter. I walked over to the Capitol building to attend legislative breakfasts and luncheons and got to sit in on meetings and such. I stayed there during the week and came home on weekends. Incredible.

I think the whole thing was so great, simply because I was an older, non-traditional student. I had already been in the workforce and I knew I didn't want to stay in that paper mill! No way. I appreciated my classes and my professors and all the work, because I knew that it was important.

I have a B.A. in Geography with that Environmental Planning concentration. And I work in the Planning field. It's never too late to go to college.

My only regret is that I didn't continue on. I should have worked for my Masters degree. But it took so long to get the B.A. and I was burned out after ten years. I should have my butt kicked.

I don't know if it counts, but during high-school we had a "Technician' program included, so when we got out we had our "high school papers" and "Techinician papers" at the same time. I chose "Business Administration Technician" which helped me get a job to pay for University.

I went to university for 4 years and earned my Bachellor's in Industrial Engineering. I had a lot of fun and found the classes rather easy and boring at times
I made a lot of friends and even met my boyfriend in one of the classes "Differential Calculus II" to be precise.

I have a full time job working in my field for a multinational manufacturing company in Tijuana
