HI there,

I am just curious to know what people would describe my kitty cats coat as,

her name is Meeko and and she is est 13 weeks.

She is a rescue kitty and was found near death in the middle of a farmers field.

any thoughts would be appreciated! I had a quick google and it suggested smoke, however I dont know if this is correct :)

thanks in advance!

The pattern seems to be black and white   (or whatever dark color it is, I dont see on my so so monitor).

What intrigues me, he seems to have a white collar sort of, going aroung his neck?  That is not so common!

If the middle photo is representative, showing the fur is black on the outside, but whitish down under the skin, it should be a smoke, as I underestand it.

Unless its some peculiar rest of fever coat.

A couple more of extra good photos are always welcome!

Good luck!  @lowrejl1

Hi !
Here's a couple more she is very hard to get still her bib at the front doesn't go the whole way around her next maybe one third is black!
I had wondered fever coat, the lady I
Got her off has said the coat wasn't
Greyish at all when she found them but has now noticed that the other black on in the litter might be doing the same. However I've not seen her so can't confirm a hundred percent.
My understanding of fever coat is limited. Is it something that disappears? How long does is last for? Does the grey colour increase in intensity before it diaappears?
Her tail underside has become more grey recently, I'll try get a dignifying picture of that one.
It would be so interesting to know the heritage of rescue kitty's!
Thanks for your help!

Tuxedo is a safe bet, with this nice collar and white gloves.

There is now a parallell tread by AbbyGibson1212 where our forumist GemsGem explains different variations of  smoke.  Look up that tread.   :)
