Venting-

We had our three kitties at the vet for rabies vaccines and micro chipping yesterday morning... now all three are refusing to eat their dinner.

We just got them back to eating normally last week... our boy had surgery and really threw everyone's appetite out of wack.

I am hoping this lack of appetite passes quickly. I don't remember them doing this when they had their first round two and a half years ago.

You may want to investigate non-killed rabies vaccines, called live canarypox vector rabies vaccine, aka Purevax by Merial. Also, premedicating with benadryl at a dose calculated by your vet per their weights, given orally either 30 min prior to appt, or intramuscularly by your vet 10 min prior to vaccination, can help limit vaccine side effects and reactions. Nausea, lethargy, and inappetance are side effects of vaccines the first 12 hours usually. Many don't experience any of this, but some do, at some point, in their lives post vaccine. If persisting beyond 12 hours post injection, call your veterinarian as they shouldn't be inappetant longer than that to reduce health risks to body organs and blood glucose.

Sorry your babies are all feeling whacked out right now... I know how frustrating that can be, especially when we give our pets something to help them, only to have it seem to do the opposite initially. Waiting for the good is just too slow sometimes! Lots of energetic and hunger drive energy to yours soon.
