Identify breed

I was wondering if someone could please help me identify the species of cat, I found it near my home and nursed him better but have not seen him in over a week and guessing he's went home but I fell in love and would like to get one. I have liked but can't decide between a couple??

I'm no expert (not a bit) but it looks like just a normal american shorthair..

Yeah he just looks like a shorthair.
My cat's shorthair and a little bit of maine coon and her fur's just a little longer.
The first pic you took I like to think of as classic playful kitty look

He is no special breed, but like the vast majority of cats in the world, a domestic shorthair. Very pretty colour.

His color is blue - ie its another word for grey.

As look alike you want perhaps to compare him with chartreuse - although he is surely a domestic shorthair, like mentioned above.

Blue cats whom we cant identyfy with certainity, are often called for Maltese cats, by old tradition.
