Meds for kittens with conjunctivitis

I have kittens that are 2 weeks old and the vet gave me Neomycin and Polymyxin B Sulfates, and Bacitracin Zinc Ophthalmic Ointment, USP for conjunctivitis but she didn't give me dosing information. Please help.

Can you not call the vet and ask? Or look at the box - usually there are instructions inside. For kittens this young, you need to be careful not to overdose them.

If it's a tube of ointment, it is gently smeared across the eyes, but call the vet's office and ask a vet technician to tell you how they expect you to use it and for how long. It will clear up the eye infection fairly quickly.

I put a small dab in each affected eye and rubbed the excess on the eyelid. My vet has gone on vacation, I've tried calling and they're are no instructions on or in the box.

I usually do that twice a day, so I guess until you can speak to someone that might be the thing to do.

That's good to do! Keep it up for a week. Are their eyes clearing some already?

But as @JennyR  says, they are very young so the dosage may be a bit less.  We really can't give you specific dosages.  There are no techs in the office while your vet is gone who can answer questions?

Glad to hear their eyes are clear now! Yay!

I am glad to hear they are better now. But I would keep up with the meds for a few more days to be sure the infection has cleared completely. Some of these eye problems can easily recur.
