Hi all! I've recently noticed something strange about my cat's skin and I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about this.

I should preface this by saying that she is a white cat with very pink skin, which makes everything look more obvious compared to say, a black cat.

I've noticed tiny little black solid specks in my cat's skin and fur, usually really close to the skin. It doesn't seem to hurt her or cause itching, and it is not due to fleas/ticks as she had gotten her flea and tick treatments done.

They're really tiny- almost too tiny for me to get a hold of and see what they feel like. It actually looks like dried up oil or something coming out of her pores and I can see them evenly dotted all over patches of her skin (just like pores would be on our skin), especially on her underside/belly area.

Again, aside from this, absolutely everything about my cat seems normal. I'm wondering if this might be an overproduction of her skin's natural oils or maybe skin irritation?

Can anyone offer any insight?

Thanks! :)
