Never seen this before. Help!

My momma cat had her babies 2 weeks ago. Yesterday I noticed what appear to me to be scratches beside one of her nipples. There is 3 different places on this around the same place. She is still eating and drinking water. It doesn't appear to be bothering her to feed her babies. I called the vet as they were about to close yesterday. They told me to put warm compress on it and bring her in monday. I am in the process of trying to find a vet open tomorrow. Has anyone ever experienced this? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Yikes...looks infected.  Haven't experienced this on a mammary gland but have seen similar wounds on other areas.  Kitty needs antibiotic.  If you have a cool vet you could e-mail this picture to them.  They could call in the prescription for you.
