I've always had cats as pets however this is my first experience with my pet cat having kittens! Her pregnancy and birth went perfectly and her parenting skills are just as good! The kittens were born on March 26 and Cash was an amazing mom immediately. The kittens are 5 weeks now and becomming basically furry little clowns. I could watch them play for hours!
So here's the problem.....the past 2 days 1 of the kittens has been acting strange. I think it seems constipated but not positive. We tried stimulating with no results, we though Cash would instantly respond to her kitties obviously painful cries but she ignores it. Ever since its like this one kitten is the black sheep. The other kittens ignore her, her mom will get up and move if she approaches to nurse......its like they act like shes not even there or shun her. So now she basically sits curled up alone looking around the room. My heart is breaking for this kitty....what can I to do and why are they being mean

the mom may know that the kitten will not survive. you are going to have to take over -- feeding, play, etc. you may want to take that kitten to the vet. that kitten should be able to pee and poop on its own.

At 5 weeks though? Im hoping its just constipation.....my husband was trying to spoil them with some table scraps. I think they're a little young for that. Wiping her isn't helping either. If she doesn't poo soon Im for sure having her checked!

Are you kidding?  Table scraps? 5 week kittens?  That is not smart.

Have you taken them to the vet for a check-over?  This little one, in particular, could really do with some professional help I think.

Is this kitten eating on its own? Wet kitten food? Kitten chow moistened with water or kitten replacement milk? Please make sure this kitten is eating and drinking and getting affection from you. You can buy glycerin suppositories for babies, shave off a TINY little piece, and put it in its butt to help with elimination. Be very gentle. Have you tried placing the kitten at a nipple when mom is nursing and standing by to make sure it gets some? I would also take the kitten to the vet for a checkup. Poor little thing. Let us know how it's going!

Thanks for the advice everyone! I believe she was just constipated. She had a rough couple of days but seems to be back to 100%. Playing, pouncing, getting into everything! Mom is now leading them to her food and water and there don't seem to be issues. They do still nurse a couple times a day too. But they all seem perfectly healthy, playful and adorable!
