Random question...

Do you have a coffee table? If so, what gets stored on it, if anything?

Mine is a mess right now, and I need ideas.. I have a slew of "coffee table books", (several of them are cat photography books, at least half!! Cat art etc.).......... The rocks-- Xena knocks them off...... it is a losing battle, even though I collect polished rocks... ..

Eventually I want to get a see through storage coffee table so the rocks & books can go under glass...

Ha, mine is a mess right now! I have the snake tank on top of it because I just got the snake and haven't figured out where to keep his tank yet :lol3:. Star Trek Enterprise DVD box set. Some paperwork I haven't gotten around to filing. The box for the Magic Bullet blender because I haven't emptied it and flattened it for recycling yet. A few books. Some lotion because my hands are always dry in the winter.

I prefer not to keep anything on my coffee table for long. But that doesn't always work out like I want :tongue2:.

oh Canada~
This is our coffee table's only use.

We don't entertain often, and we don't spend much time on the couch so we don't put much on it. If we do entertain, we prefer people put food and drink on the dining table since someone has always encouraged the cats to be adventurous and climb/hop/chase each other on top (the same USED to be the case with the dining table
).

We don't have one. It would only serve as yet another place for the cats to nap or sit. So none here.

We put ours into the garage when our 2nd was learning to walk and we havent brought it back in. The kids have more room to play this way. And they still get active and silly so its still safer. Right now I have a good size loop of train tracks in the middle of the room.

Our table is very solid looking; all enclosed with 2 big drawers for storage. We had some books on it. Plus coasters, magazines and a small basket for remot controls. It did end up like a catch-all; I dont miss that part. DH wants to sell it; but I'm hesitant.

You know, other than knocking my rocks off... Xena leaves it alone.

I have a wooden coffee table that has a top that you can lift up and store things in it. When the table top is up, Sophie likes to sit on one of the 2 little ledges that are on the ends. It's one of her favorite places to sit and watch me or nap in. I always have to look before I go close the top.

If I don't read any of the books, it will stay that way awhie. Though every day I have to pick up rocks that little Miss Furball decides are her toys to knock down.

All my collections of cats etc is in a glass fronted cabinet. My daughter always thought i had rubbish. It's cats, elephants, fairies and things u brought back from abroad. Any case one day she actually looked at it and said you've got good stuff here mum and started to say what she wanted! I told her she'd have to wait and then fight it out with her brother. However the way I'm going now, I'm nearly 71, barring accidents, it looks like I've got a long life ahead of met. Damn.it.
How are you feeling now after that dreadful year you had

Mine has more on it than usual right now. It's usually pretty empty.

My daughter's plate and cup from breakfast, a yogurt tube she was eating and sat down, the wii u controller, a hair brush, a sock and a couple toys. My daughter puts random stuff on the table and then I clean it up. I haven't had a chance to this morning because the baby started crying and when I picked him up to calm him down, he fell asleep in my arms and is still there. He just got his first tooth and he's not so happy.
