Tough Tabbi-lac Turds!

The kitten I'm hand-raising is eating KMR and is constipated as all heck. Its like he's trying to expel concrete cacti from his system and is in obvious discomfort. Mineral oil, which worked with the last batch of hand-raised babies, has failed him. Any other suggestions? He's eleven days old and otherwise thriving.

Dilute the KMR with water (2 parts formula and one part water) for a day or two and continue adding drops of mineral oil. Otherwise, buy glycerin suppositories for children, shave off a tiny, tiny piece, and insert it gently in the butt - gently. You should get a result. Let us know. And also give the kitten tiny drops of water in the side of its mouth for hydration; this should help.

Right now I'm doing one part KMR powder to two parts water. If I decrease the water, will it still go through the bottle?

If he's thriving then keep doing what you're doing. Have you tried the glycerin yet?
