Hi, I just barely joined because of this kitty. I run a small scale cat rescue in my garage. Well, a prego kitty came in and had her babies in the carrier on her way over. She had 4 premies. All passed away. :'( Well, momma still feels prego. Doesn't look it, but feels it. Also, she has been having bloody stools. Not like cats right after they gave birth, just little splatters of blood on her bedding and then mucous covered blood mixed in her poo. Really nasty looking. Any ideas? Could she have another in there? Why is she bleeding? Anything?

Thanks!

Also...forgot to mention. Momma cat has not produced ANY milk and wouldn't even lick her babies clean or snuggle with them so I had to take them in.

I think she should be seen by a vet. She could possibly still have a kitten inside her. I am so sorry the kittens passed on. A little bleeding is normal but I'm not sure about this. If not, then at least you might be able to get her spayed.

I'm confused. You said she had preemies that died. Then you said she had babies you had to take in. Please clarify the situation. And if she is still bleeding badly, regardless of the outcome, she needs to be seen by a vet asap. Waiting on your answer.

She wouldn't feed the preemies so I had to try to bottle feed them for her. They died after a couple days. The bleeding isn't bad, just traces or little splatters. Definitely getting her spayed, but my vet is really hard to get into.

I haven't been able to find one I trust other than them. I had one before but they ruined my horse. Literally. I wouldn't trust them with a mouse.

That is really sad that you do not trust you vet.  Have no idea what I would do without mine.  I can call her cell phone in the middle of the night if I think I need to.  May I ask how is your cat doing?  Is she eating and eliminating normally?

Is there  another vet you can go to? Maybe try looking in the phone book for names then googling to see what comes up, then calling?

Dandila, I think you misunderstood what Kitsteri wrote. She said she had not been able to find any vet other than her regular vet that she could trust and that her own vet was hard to get an appointment with.

Can they make a special opening and let you in a little later or earlier than normal? So that they can see her and look her over? I am sure if you explained, they might kindly make a little room for you both.
