Hello all,

Recently, my kitty's hind foot has begun to twitch whenever he strops his jaw -whether human-assisted, or against a hard surface.

My first thought was dental issues. But his teeth check out fine. No problems eating dry kibble, dried seafood or tinned food.

He is about 19 years old. I suspect it's an age-related syndrome. As cats derive such pleasure from stropping, I am naturally sad he's in this circumstance.

If anyone else has experience with this issue, please, some feedback would be nice.  Til now, he's been the healthiest of kitties.

Can you tell us what stropping  means in this context?  And is it the twitching you're concerned about or the mouth?

Thanks :)
