Random completely irrelavant question: how do I change my profile picture? I can't for the life of me figure it out...

Go to 'my profile' (has to be desktop site, not mobile). Under your avatar pic it says 'change avatar'. Click on it, then chose the photo you want to upload. Click 'submit'.

Just thought of something else. When she does put her weight on her injured paw, it's different. Instead of sorta going on her toes she puts weight more on her whole paw.. hard to describe.. umm.. im probably confusing everyone but it's like shes putting weight on her whole paw and a little bit of her foreleg or something..

That sounds very familiar. You're saying that instead of walking on her tiptoes she's kind of dropped her foot and is walking on her heel too? If yes, that sounds just like Shadow. I'll see if I can get a pic of him standing/walking so you can see if it's the same.

Yeah, you described it better than me.
Did Shadow start limping immediately afterward? When I brought Peony in for the night, she was fine and the next morning she was limping before we let her out. The highest piece of furniture we have that she's shown any interest in is about 4 ft tall so I don't know ehat she could have jumped off at night, is there any possiblity she could get her paw stuck in something?

That's like it, except that when she's sitting she holds her paw up.. is that just because the injury is recent?
Also, I think the paw is slightly more dropped.
My neighbor suggested maybe she had something stuck between the pads. My mom tried to check, she didn't bite or claw but she did struggle and meow and when we let her go she wasn't limping too much.

:lol3: I'm dreadful for typos too.

As I said, Shad's pretty good at the moment - it drops more when he's aggravated it (usually by racing round corners so fast that he has to literally bounce up and off the wall to keep from crashing  ). He will also sit holding it up when it's bad. Your girl will be holding it up because it hurts right now.

I do still think a vet check is a good idea - Shad did his paw at least 10 years ago. My understanding is that there's still very little that can be done for this sort of injury, but I could be wrong. Shadow has managed perfectly well all these years, but part of me feels bad for him - especially when it flares up.
