Hello 
My name is Sammi, and this is Misty:
Misty is some sort of tabby whom we adopted almost exactly this time last year when the only other cat I had ever had (since I was five years old) sadly passed away very suddenly. Misty is a very different cat than Smokey was; Smokey was a very gentle, mostly well-behaved kitty whose only fault was scratching the carpet. Misty is quite a wild character and has been a (welcome) challenge addition to the family. She is growing up into a much more calm and well behaved kitty now She has been a real blessing during the sad time of losing Smokey.
I initially wanted to adopt a kitty from a shelter or the pound but my family was relucant and feared that a cat from there would be more troublesome. I sort of got my wish to adopt a kitty that really needed a family though, because she was already more than 6 months old in the pet shop and they were anxious about her adoption chances. I don't know why nobody ever adopted her, but I'm so glad to have her and I think that she likes her furever home
I've been on this site loads of times when looking up random cat things, but never thought to actually JOIN such an awesome community until today
