I have a lovely little cat lily, about 3 weeks ago I noticed her getting quite round and found out she's pregnant . I'm just wondering when she's going to deliver now , I've made her a box to nest in. She was reluctant to go near the box until today and she's been in an out a few times . Today she has got super affectionate and will let me stroke her for hours on end. Her Tummy is quite hard and I noticed white spots on the end of her nipples. She's my first cat and would greatly appreciate any advice or tips. Thank you

Hi and welcome to the site!

We have a good collection of articles in the Cat Health section which you can access by scrolling up to the brown bar, clicking on Articles, and then choosing the Cat Health section and scrolling through the choices.  To make this super easy for you, I am copying the links regarding birth, delivery and newborns for you here.  After reading this information, let us know if you have any more questions.  And good luck with your approaching new arrivals.

On another note, I do hope you might consider getting her spayed after this litter.  An articleon a few of the many benefits that you might want to read can be found here: http://www.thecatsite.com/a/spay-and-neuter-your-cats

Lilly has gone of her food since yesterday evening and this morning isn't eating at all? Should I be worried? As I'm not sure how far along she is ...

If she is about to deliver this is very normal, and this seems likely to me. However if she still has not eaten or gone into labor by tomorrow I would certainly err on the side of caution and consult a vet.

Good luck and keep us updated!

I contacted the vet and she said it's more than likely normal for her stage in pregnancy. Her behaviour today is very odd. She's lying up on me sleeping ( which she never does) I repeatedly licking her stomach and vulva. My only concern is that I have never noticed her kittens moving about ( which most sites say happens) hope alls ok with her and her kittens . Thank U again for your response :)

do u think this little lady has long left tulosia
You began to write 5 days ago.  What you wrote 5-4 days ago did sounded alike it was nearing...

The only baffling you didnt felt the kittens move...  But this is in part, how used you are to feel out her tummy.  Also, if she is well muscled, and the litter is small, the movements wont be very visible...  On THIS pic here, the tummy isnt very big, so I would guess on a small litter, 1-3 kittens.

The waiting game is on...  The consolation is, cats seems to manage a little too long pregnancies pretty well, usually better than humans.

Its too SHORT pregnancies, ie premature kittens, who are the real problem...

Observe, rub her tummy, prepare, and wait on the things to come.

Good luck!

Thanks for your response, I've been sure every morning we would wake up to kittens because of how she was behaving but no lol since yesterday I have been really studying her and can easily see the kittens move but I think your right, of say the litter is small . She's only small herself. Since lastnite she has done nothing but sleep. Think the poor girl is exhausted . She doesn't seem to want anything to do with the bed I made her yet loves sofa in kitchen... Should I encourage other bed or leave her where she's comfy . I do apologise for all the questions , I'm a fork at time cat owner and googling things can be quite contradictory :)

Prepare some good places, but in the end, she will herself want to use somewhere that is comfy.

Also, observe they often delay with choosing the best place, because they dont want to soil it down too early.  Its natural instincts, they dont want too attract predators too early, nor get fleas in there too early...

So I had posted before thinkingy Lilly was ready to have her kittens. I took her to vet yesterday for a check up. He said her mammary glands were all developed and she should have kittens in 3 weeks although if she had them next week he wouldn't be surprised . This left me more confused than before I went in. She's really off her food and all she wants to do is sleep. But is this normal if she does have 3 weeks left? Advice much needed as vet didn't seem very interested :(

I really think you just need to be patient. She sounds close, but hard to know for sure. She doesn't sound sick, so she probably isn't very hungry and will eat when she is. Hang in there! :)

Thanks :) poor girl doesn't know what's going on... He's getting bigger and bigger everyday and the kittens are having a field day in there jumping about. It's amazing to watch I must say... She's more energetic today which I'm glad to see. She's still covering her food up with the blankets from the best I made her which is weird lol

My guess its some precontractions.   Natures way to get the muscles in question to grow and be stronger...  So an important step nearer, but not just yet.  That is my guess.
