My 2 year old tabby Paco loves to spend the night outside this morning when she (yes she we thought she was a boy at birth) came in for breakfast I noticed her limping. Its not inflamed, she's not crying/growling when she does put pressure on it. No signs of cuts or bruises, she only cries a little if I touch it. Ive been keeping an eye on her all day...she keeps licking it and has it sideways instead of flat on the floor while lying down. When she stands she just lets her paw dangle. She's eating and drinking no problem. I do plan on taking her to the vet tomorrow just wondering if theres anything I can do to ease her pain until we can get an appointment.

Poor, dear Paco... I am so sorry about her paw. I think for tonight, I would keep her as quiet and still as possible. I would not recommend confining her at all though as that will only cause her much more stress and she may injure her paw by trying to get out. But, do try to keep her quiet. Maybe sit with her on the couch and put a special cat bed next to you. Overnight, keep her in your bed, on that special cat bed. Sometimes, when I put a cat bed on my bed, my cats will curl up in the beds and go right to sleep. Just try to stay by her side and tend to her, watch over her. yes - will be a long night!! Don't give her anything for pain, OTC. Wait until you see the vet tomorrow first thing. Of course, if you see her spirits diminish and she appears to be in great pain - then a visit to the Evet would be the next option. You can also hand feed her some of her favorite canned food, cat treats or dry food - whatever she likes, that will help keep her quiet and still so she doesn't have to move around to get to her food dishes. I am not sure how she will comfortably use the cat pan though. I am assuming it is her front paw? so it will be very difficult for her to dig in the cat pan. Keep us posted and mega vibes overnight for Paco. :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:
