my kitten is now just 28 days old. iv had her sense she was five days old. the first few weeks she did great but then I noticed that after she opened her eyes when I fed her she would clamp her mouth shut but scratch at the bottle wanting to eat. she eat but slowly. then she stopped and I have to force feed her. iv always made sure she never ingested any milk. now she's under weight I need help but I don't have enough money I get to the vet. im now making her eat every two hours again because im trying to get meat on her little body. I noticed when she was taking the bottle that it seemed like she was having a hard time swallowing or at least shes forcing it down. she stopped wanting the bottle so I started using a syringe  which works ok but she doesn't like it so I have to make her hold still to eat. she hates that, I know for her age she saposed to be eating three times the amount she is.

My first three questions for you are if you can tell us what you are feeding her, what position she is in when you are feeding her, and how much she is actually eating.  If you can tell us that we can help more.

I am sorry you are going through this.

Wrap her up in a towel like a burrito.  Being wrapped up so, she will cease her resistance, and you wont need to use any violence to held her still.  She may even feel it as cozy.    :)

For the rest, please answer Tulosai´s  question, so we will take it from there, all we forumists.

But yes, you do have right, to change to a syringe and forcefeeding, its necessary here.

Good luck!
