Awhile ago, a cute, young-looking, skittish calico showed up around my house showing early stages of pregnancy. I started feeding her good quality food and she always hung around the house, so i planned on having her fixed after she had this litter. She seemed perfectly healthy and VERY pregnant, then we had a bad storm 3 days ago and I haven't seen her since. I haven't seen her come up for food nor have i seen her lurking around the house. Did she maybe have her babies and just doesn't want be found? Or should I be concerned?  She's usually always waiting outside in the mornings and evenings for food but she hasn't for three days. I looked around and didn't hear or see her or any babies. She was very timid so i couldn't bring her inside..

She may have had the babies or maybe someone else is feeding her. This is a real wait-and-see situation since it's been 3 days. If she shows up again not pregnant, maybe you can follow her and find where the babies are. If she shows up still pregnant, do everything in your power to get her inside to have her kittens.

Keep us posted, and thank you for caring for her! It's always distressing to begin a relationship with a kitty - especially a pregnant one - and then have the kitty disappear.
