Near my thumb.light black/brown dots. They look like freckles to me but my wife is worried. He is acting perfectly fine and has had this for a few weeks now. He has these dots on his skin around his forehead. He likes to lay by the windows on a warm day so figured freckles

Yeah that's it. I think they are freckles but my wife is worried though again I don't think it's anything serious. He has been acting normal and has had this for weeks now
It looks like normal pigmentation to me. Skin pigmentation is connected to fur color in cats (although paler). You cat has black fur so seeing little black dots in the skin looks connected to the pigmentation of the fur. See this link: http://pets.thenest.com/skin-pigmentation-cats-11322.html
