Have you ever seen this type of eye injury?

Hey guys! I adopted a kitten like three days ago. I have posted on here about him in the kitten forum.

when I adopted him I had known that he was found with facial injuries, and that is all that I saw in writing and what the person who brought him to me told me.

I have asked for his medical records so that I could have them for the vet I see and just for proof he was vaccinated and since he did have injuries. The lady said that he was at the vets for 3 or 4 days.

Anyway, his eye is messed up. I noticed it right away, but at first I thought he had two different colored eyes, but yesterday I noticed that it was much more than that. He has some slight discharge that looks like typical eye boogers but I noticed earlier that it was watering a bit. In the corners of his eye it seems to be blood shot, that's not the right word but I'm not really sure what to call it (if you can zoom in on the pic you can see a sliver of the red).  Also there is something amiss with his pupil, I do not think that it is dilating, and some discoloration.

I hope to get his records tomorrow, she just told me she would get them too me but not when. I will probably make him an appointment as soon as possible. I have no idea what happened to him, she said that they suspected that this little guy was thrown out of a car. He is about 8 weeks old. I'm just hoping it isn't too serious, I don't care if he has a gimpy eye, he has a place in my heart regardless, but I wish he didn't have to deal with this. The husband tried to do some research and said it may be nerve damage.

Also he doesn't seem to be impaired at all, but I have only had him 3 days. He acts like a normal kitten, good appetite, goes to the bathroom fine, he is clumsy but I don't see that as out of the ordinary.

Here is a picture:

The pupil stays the same :(

I might add that, his pupil appears to be in an upside down tear shape, like the end is pointed like normal but the top has rounded.

Thank you, I just don't understand if he was at the vet for "3-4" days why they wouldn't have noticed this? Ugh and to say he was all better and ready to be homed. I don't care that he is damaged but it's a little unexpected.
