No, we tried to fix it again and the wheel now turns too hard for him to turn it with his paw.

Thanks, detmut! I PMed you back. Need to talk to my co-worker as I am at work and don't remember my passwords.
My co-worker knows his passwords by heart, something I do not know.

I think a used one would work OK. I'll clean it and then clean it again and again.

Thanks, Columbine. I'm worried about the wheel.

Detmut, my thanks. My co-worker came into work this morning and bought the machine. It's supposed to come in 3 days. It is scuffed up a bit, but so was Boo's. My sincere Thank You to finding this.

And BooBoo says, "Thank You!" too.

The red on this is metal. The globe is plastic and so is the very bottom where they eat. But the lid and the base are metal. I could probably repair the chipped paint, but I'm not too worried about it. And the wheel turns easily, so once the cat gets the hang of what's going on, he'll be able to turn the wheel easily. BooBoo understood what to do within minutes, he had it down pat.

I texted Rick right away to tell him that Boo has a new machine. He was tickled, too. A while back, somebody here found one for me, but at the time, I simply didn't have the money to buy it. Since then, we've been looking, but honestly, we couldn't find it anywhere. I was all over the web, looking.

It's funny. I got four emails this morning from friends who all saw that one on Ebay and said, "GET IT NOW!"
And somebody from another board posted to me about it, too. Evidently, we really got the word out.

It will be interesting to which of the three new kids will figure it out. Rick is betting on Tabby being the first cat to understand. And he thinks Molli will do what Banshee did, wait til the food drops and then swoop in and take it.

It's a shame that it's been discontinued. I think a lot of cats would enjoy it.

BooBoo and his new-to-him treat machine! I cleaned it up as best I could, filled it, put it on the floor. Boo walked over, gave it a sniff, and reached his paw right out. Spun the wheel and out came the treats.

I am so glad the kitties have their treat machine back.  It really takes so little to make everything right in their world.
