I've had my cat for about a year now, she would hang around my apartment complex and we ended up taking her in. We let her out and she comes back to eat and sleep. I let her out this morning and when I let her back in I noticed she's walking very slow also meows when I pick her up and she never does that. I felt a small lump between her hip and tail, she meows when I rub my had over the area. Also she's not eating and I can't take her to a vet until Thursday any ideas as to why she's not herself

Hi and welcome to the site.  I am sorry this happened to your cat.

Unfortunately the only advice we can really give you to figure out what is going on in a broad sense is to take her in to the vet ASAP. I would keep her inside until then in case she is injured.

The fact that she is not eating is a HUGE problem. Cats are not like many other mammals and can in fact only go a VERY short amount of time without eating before the risks for serious problems and complications set in, such as fatty liver disease.  If she is still not eating, at this point, that is an urgent concern and you will have to force feed her if you can't get her to a vet.  Please let us know the situation and we can provide tips for force feeding and help.  It is not nearly as complicated/difficult as it may sound, but does require a fairly large time/energy investment.

Please let us know how she's doing.

Sounds like a trip to the vet is in order to check out what's going on.  Keep her inside until you get her seen by the vet.  The lump might be a bite from another kitty and if she's crying out in pain when you pick her up, that's a definite sign something's not right because cats are experts at hiding pain.

My Kitty will be ok. I found a vet that could get me today. She has a fever and her slow walking is probably due to a bite from another cat so shes on antibiotics and should be eating and back to normal soon. Thank you this site is so helpful.

Once she is well I would strongly suggest you keep her indoors, particularly if you would like to live a full life.  I'm glad you got her to a vet.

So glad you got her to the vet quickly and got her checked out!  Way to go!  Glad she's on the mend and hope she's eating better now.  Please consider keeping her inside from now on to prevent these types of incidents in the future.  How is she today?
