Hi all,

I don't like to ask for help and I never would if it was just to help myself, but because this is my much loved fur-baby, Mia, I'm reaching out to anyone who can help...I desperately need to get Mia a biopsy to confirm what is causing his painful gums, but it costs a lot and I have already exhausted my available funds getting a tooth extracted and weeks of getting Mia to and from the vet. paying for medication + a swab for calicivirus - which tested positive. If I can't get Mia the biopsy, I'm pretty sure the only other option is euthanasia and the thought of doing that to Mia is more than I can bear. I created this crowdfund page, in the hopes that someone can help me help Mia. From what I have read, he may also need his all his teeth extracted, but the first step is the biopsy.

If anyone out there can help me by visiting my crowdfund page and possibly make a donation, I would be eternally grateful as I'd do and give anything for Mia to help him.

Thank you in advance for your assistance and I understand if you are not able to.

From the Mod Team regarding all pleas for money:

Cats are a huge responsibility. Anyone who thinks otherwise, should not have one in their life. They are dependent on us for everything from providing a place to eat, to also providing vet care.

Anyone who has cats knows that they can and do get ill. Your best defense is to plan for that to happen before it does, and store monies away in preparation.

If you read about a plight of an animal on the internet and your heart is drawn to help. Check out the story thoroughly. Google the vet's name or call Directory Assistance in the city and be sure this is a legitimate claim.

Do not blindly send money into a paypal account no matter how heart-wrenching the story. Instead reach out to the member and ask for the vet's name and phone number, and arrange to send the money there for the specific needs of the cat in question.

If that information cannot be provided- you have your answer. Report the post to a moderator so that it can be removed for not being on the level.

In relation to the above post, I do understand that there are a lot of scammers in this world, and I myself am very wary of scams ... however, I would never scam anyone - let alone put my real name on here if I was trying to scam people.

I am simply trying to raise money to help my cat, and I am desperate, hence why I am posting here.

If you would like to check please contact this veterinary clinic.
