Hey I would love to know the outcome of the kittens eye.. Was he able to see again? I recently rescued a kitten with the same problem.

Yes they can clear up fine, but it does take meds. Terramycin is excellent antibacterial eye ointment, and sometimes requires drops as well, but staying vigilant with the terramycin will allow it to recover.

If the eye seals shut from gunk/crust, soften it with a warm cloth, to dampen it, wait a minute or so them gently wipe it this time, to wipe the goop away if possible. Then apply the eye med in his eye.

Never pry open the eye though.

Terramycin can be ordered online or purchased from a vet.

Eye infections in kittens born outdoors is very common, just need to catch it before it does some real damage, which also can happen if left untreated.
