Good morning!
And Happy Friday!
Let's talk about glasses. I know we did a little bit a few weeks ago when I asked for advice on regular glasses. Well, I had my eye appt last week (finally) and they were also able to fix my regular glasses. (When I took my broken glasses down before, that person said they couldn't be repaired and that I would need new ones. This time, the tech immediately repaired them for me.) That was good news because I was able to buy a new pair of prescription sunglasses. My eyes really hadn't changed all that much overall, but it was enough of a change that I felt better with a new pair of glasses. My new pair came in yesterday and I'm going down tonight to pick them up. I ended up with a pair of larger Michael Kor sunglasses in mauve/purple. They actually look much like the sunglasses I have now. I think I'll wait until fall comes and then go ahead and buy a pair of regular glasses then. Rick also got a new pair of regular glasses and a pair of prescription safety glasses for work; he has to wear safety glasses at work and while the company does pay for a portion of the glasses, we have to pay for the rest. I'm glad he has vision and dental insurance because it really helps. We go to the eye doctor every year, although we don't buy new glasses every time.
I am supposed to wear my glasses 24/7. The only time I actually wear them, though, is when I'm driving at night. Other than that, they're in my car. I don't wear them at all. They're bi-focals and, honestly, they're more of a pain to wear than to go without them. I'm constantly moving my head up and down and back and forth and that lasts about five minutes, before I take them off and throw them somewhere. So I've started to keep them in the car so that if I'm driving at night, they're handy. I wear my sunglasses often though. Whenever I'm outside, I have my sunglasses, even on cloudy days, even during the winter. I don't go outside at all without my sunglasses, so they need to be prescription. I need glasses for driving and will wear my sunglasses for driving all the time.
Anyway, my questions this morning: Do you wear prescription glasses? Do you use prescription sunglasses? Do you actually wear your glasses? What about bi-focals; are you using them yet? Anybody use contacts? How often do you see your eye doctor?
