my 6 month old kitten was spayed today and I've brought her home. However I'm finding it very hard to stop her from running about and jumping. Will this cause any damage to her at all? She is my first ever cat I'm A nervous wreck now I've got her home

The sutures are generally strong, and they often suture inside the incision as well.Just keep an eye on it and watch for any separation, but its unlikely.  She should not be allowed to lick it however and if she isn't wearing a cone, she may need one.

Thanks for getting back to me. She's not shown any interest in the area, so no licking as yet. She has been crying a bit this morning. Thinking the pain relief has worn off. Should the vet have given me pain relief to take home? As I said she's not interested in the arse at all so maybe she's just feeling about sorry for herself

Cats rarely need pain meds after being spayed but you could inquire. As the incision heals it may start to itch and could provoke licking, so keep an eye on it.
