So as sweet as our new cat is, i seriously have never met a cat like this. So from yesterday where she wouldnt jump of my bed she kept rubbing on me to pet her, after about 30 mins and it not stopping, almost seeming like she wanted to play i had to put her outside the door and shut it. So tonight i grab her to come attempt to sleep with me, i pet her for probably a good 20 mins, and then pull my hands away so i can go to sleep. Well she kept rubbing on me, she actually did jump off the bed and went to my vanity, where she knocked a basket off, no biggy i picked her up and picked up the items and put it up and put her back on my bed and pet her and told she was ok. Attempted to put my arms under the blankets and she was rubbing all over and meowing. And then it smelled like she was farting, i ignored it and then it got worse. This happened last night to, where i even got a little scared that she would poop on my bed. So another failed night, i took her to where her litter box is cause im worried about the gas, which could lead to poop. Seriously someone tell me this is normal. I dont recall ever having a cat with not bad but kind of odd behavior.

well in my experience it could be the food she is eating. When i first got Mimi she had very similar symptoms. I am not sure if your cat is familiar with getting in the tub but try putting her in warm water for a short period of time. I did that every time she had gases and it suddenly all stopped (I also eventually changed her dry food). Again, it could be the food or jus normal gas. I also used to be worried about the poop on my bed and all but it never happened, dont worry!

Goodluck !

Thanks Mimi. We have only bad her since Sunday, so makes sense its the food, we have also been giving her 2-3 little cat treats, trying to make her comfortable. Also is there a way to send the message to her when its time to stop rubbing and trying to get pet? I would love for her to sleep in our room but cant deal with the exesive petting when im trying to sleep.
