Crazy Cat Lady in the making

Well, maybe not too crazy. 

I'm from the Chicago area, and have had critters my whole life. Up until 2013, it was both dogs and cats. Then when our 19-year-old beagle, Brandy, passed away, it was just the kitties left.

Currently, we have Sara (13), Maple (13), and Lucky (16). Yep, it's a bit of a retirement home here I guess you could say. Sara and Maple are girls, and Lucky is the one boy. I love them all dearly and can't imagine not having them in my life. Lucky is the one that really is my baby though. We saved him, but I often feel like he saved me too.

I do not have any human children, so these are truly my babies. Some people say I'm crazy because of that, but oh well. Such is life. I wouldn't trade my fur-babies for the world.

I never want kids, just animals.

I hear that we (humans) are evolving to have fewer people that have a physical need to have children, due to the fact there are so many people in the world now. Not sure if that's true but an interesting concept.

My DD (so far) has been pretty vocal about not wanting kids. I'm very OK with just having grandcats. I'd spoil them just like other people spoil their grandkids

i'm new here too.  been a crazy cat lady since i was a youngster - lol.

btw - i love your nick.  i named a kitten powdered donut.  she and her siblings were solid white and birth, and then their markings came in slowly.  never saw anything like that before.  shadow, marvel and pugsley were her brothers.

Thank you all so much for the greetings! I definitely have tons (TONS) of cat pics to share. I'm constantly adding to the pile too because one of them is always doing something that is so adorable - you know, like sleeping, lol.
