Good morning TCS!:wavey:

Where my cats are
When I was a kid we had dinner at my Gram's every Sunday; so I was close with my cousins who are 4 and 6 years older than me; a boy and a girl.  They were the closest thing to siblings I had when I was young.  They were good times!  The boy is the one who taught me how to braid using one of my barbie dolls.  The girl used to style my hair.  When she was a teen she was trouble. She had her first baby at 16 and man that little girl was the light of my life.  When I was a teen I spent my summers at our Grandparent's house and they took care of my cousin's kids; so I got a lot of time with both of them.  They were my buddies!  The girl was a junior bridesmaid in my wedding.  She is grown and married herself now.  The boy will be 18 this year.  It just blows my mind!!

We had 2 other cousins who were older than us as well; but they lived a few hours away so we only saw each other a few times a year.  The eldest I was pretty much in awe of.  She was just so pretty and sweet.  And she still is.  Her brother was something else as well.  I remember when I was in the 4th grade I had one of those picture things you put inside your wallet and i had a picture of him in there.  My school friends had a crush on him.
Both of those cousins were excellent swimmers; competitively and both worked as lifeguards and swim teachers.  My favorite memory of the boy is the time he took me to the big pool down the street and he had me jumping in the deeper water where he would catch me.
It was so much fun!  The eldest cousin's daughters inherited those swimming skills and have earned college scholarships with them.

On the other side of my family I have 2 girls cousins; one is 28 days older than me.  She was one of 2 maid of honors in my wedding.  (I couldn't pick between her and my BFF!)  We were treated like twins at times when we were kids.  I didn't see them as often; but I'm closer to them as an adult.  My DD was in the oldest ones wedding last year.  The other; my DD just adores.  My DD even resembles her.

After my grandmother past away we moved in with my grandfather for a bit. I was in the 3rd grade by then. He planted rubarb out behind the garage and I used to pick it and eat it alot. we also used to get on the garage roof and swing from the tree branch It was so much fun. He made the best gravy I had ever had.
