I have two cats both are 8 years old and were adopted from the local shelter four years ago and are easily scared and very timid around strangers. We have just moved from Barcelona to the UK and they had to fly cargo according to british laws. They arrived yesterday evening very scared but otherwise fine and are adapting relatively well (minus new litterbox issues). However I have noticed Panda walks weird and seems to be limping from his hind legs, if I touch them when he's walking I can feel the thigh muscles trembling, it doesn't seem like they hurt when I touch and apply pressure on them. It seems as if his legs were stiff and sore from being tense and crouched all day during the trip, does that seem possible at all? He is otherwise fine eating and drinking normally and climbing to the bed as usual. I'd rather wait for a few days than take to the vet right after such a traumatic experience as flying.:paranoid:

Thanks everyone

I can only tell you I flew recently with my cats from the USA to Amsterdam when I had to relocate, and they definitely did not experience this, and that's a much longer flight.  When I discussed possible 'side effects' with my vet she also did not mention that this might happen at all. If he is still not doing normal today I probably would take him to the vet since it sounds very possible to me that he's injured and continuing to walk/put weight on the injury without any treatment may or may not be okay- only a vet can tell you.

Good luck sorting this out.  I am sorry this is what you landed to discover :/

Thanks for your input. He seems to be doing better today so I'm keeping an eye on him and hopefully he'll be fully recovered by tomorrow. He's such a delicate cat, always has odd isssues...
