My cat had her kittens today. The last one was born around 2 pm. I just noticed fresh blood in her box. I lifted her back leg and can see she is still bleeding. Shouldn't she be done bleeding? I never noticed this with my other cat, but she is black. Should I be worried? I am!

How much blood is it? If it just a little it normal but if it to a point where it makes you want to puke or gag i suggest talking to a vet

Not a lot. I would say its just trickling a steady amount. Noticed about quarter size spots on the towel she's on. Fresh though.

That is the norm.

But if you see larger areas then it might be an issue going on, so keep an eye out :)

Don't be scared! You need to stay calm and prepare in case she needs help delivering this baby.

Be there for her, she needs you to stay together and strong, and reassuring her :)

Aww hun I'm so sorry.

Take the baby and wrap it up nicely and bury in your yard, maybe plant a baby rose plant on top of it.

RIP little punkin baby :(

She is still panting a lot. I don't think she is done yet!

Okay if panting then probably not done.

Same as before, just hold it together for her, never know if she can deliver fine or needs your help.

I will wait to see if you need any guidance so please update asap.In case you see this, if she needs help getting the baby out, wait for her to push and gently pull by the underarm of baby's limbs.

She seems to be sleeping. She is breathing faster than usual, but she's not panting anymore. The other 4 babies are finely all latched on and quiet also. I will be watching her closely!
Her own Momma had kittens and 4 days later, had 1 more. I hope shes done. My poor sweetie is so tired. Thank you all for being here! This is a wonderful thing you do!

I'm glad she is resting a bit.

She may very well not be done, it doesn't sound like it actually, but likely is exhausted.

I have to go out and do my cat route now (ferals I have TNR'd in town that I care for) and will be back in an hour and will check in.
