Good morning everyone.

 

Yesterday's question was about chores that you hate doing. For today, do you have any chores that you absolutely NEED to do? Things that nag at you, and you can't relax if they're not done?

I cannot go to bed until the sink is empty of dirty dishes. I've even let litter boxes slip before, but never dishes, even if I get home at 2am.

Seems like the only chore around here that absolutely MUST be done is making sure the fur-kids have enough food on hand.  I need to go to Petco today in fact, to stock up...

There's one that springs to mind - cleaning the litter boxes! Can't ever leave that undone.

Laundry and cleaning the litter boxes.

Definitely litter box duty.

The litter boxes,  Anything else I can let go and sleep at night.

i agree with the others who replied scooping the litter boxes. that's the one chore that absolutely must get done every single day.

Cat boxes always have to  be clean

I'm not the one who cleans the boxes so as far as I'm concerned I'm free free free.

I'm a bit of a neat-freak, any undone chore nags at me relentlessly. Every morning the first thing I have to do is scoop the litter boxes, wash and refill all the cat's bowls, make the beds, vacuum upstairs and down and mop the kitchen floor or the voices won't let me be!

 

Once that's all done I'm allowed to take a shower and have coffee and get on with my day.

That's kind of me, too. When I'm not working, I get up in the morning and check out TCS while drinking my morning coffee. But then I need to scoop the boxes and (if I'm not going on a cleaning tear), try to get the house in some semblance of order. Dishes in the dishwasher, papers and newspapers in the recycling area in the basement. Magazines put away. Bed made (when the cats aren't in it; I won't disturb the cats to make the bed....but then as soon as they all leave, that bed is made right away, before they can get back into it). Things like that. I have to get them done right away or they nag at me.
