My boy is very old with high liver enzymes...
I've been feeding him a slurry royal kenyons recovery in high protein blended with clinicare recovery liquid through a syringe the vet told me I needed to get 100 millilitres or the equivalent is 100 cc's into him today. we have been working towards that goal and doing well, we had so much improvement yesterday and when he was his eyes were less dilated and he was hungry. i had fed him off throughout the course of the day 75 millilitres of the story and he eat some wellness food from a can and I had some presidents choice food in a dish downstairs which I didn't realise he had to eat in the entire dish yesterday upon discovering this I don't force anymore syringe feeding into him and thought we had a really good day. he was interacting in bright all day in the evening and night he seemed more lethargic but I thought it was due to being so active in eating so well during the day. i took him downstairs to have a p this morning and I only peed a little bit since then it look like he was trying to go but could not. from what I read you need nutritional support to combat this disease but now that you can't go to the bathroom I thought I was being dehydrated and would a discovered is there something call refeeding injury Work phosphate levels or potassium levels get low. i feel so upset and frustrated with this is because I thought we were doing so well. i just don't know what to do at this point. i bought pedialyte and got some of that into him and a little bit more slurry. 1st time he vomited.
I have him on vitamins hepato support and clavaseptin an antibiotic.
I'm terrified and I have heard him with this refeeding injury it is sunday I can't call the vet and financially becoming drained.emotionaly it's devastating.

I would keep giving him the pedialite and the slurry, at least as much as your Vet said to give him, EVEN if he eats on his own too.  He needs as much high protein food in him as he can get right now, UNLESS your Vet mentioned that refeeding syndrome was a possible issue.  I don't know the history of what caused your boy's high liver values, but was he starved for some length of time or something?  That should be the main reason you should be worried about refeeding syndrome. We've had many cats here on TCS (mine included) who've had Hepatic Lipidosis, and none of them that I recall ever had an issue with refeeding. And, honestly, 100 cc's isn't that much to begin with.

The pedialite should be good for him as well to get more fluids into him.
