new guy

Hello everbody, I am new to cat community. I adopted my first cat a few months back and absolutely love them now. My girlfriend and coworkers call me the crazy cat guy now . I enjoy taking care of him and playing with him when I get home from work. I still can't figure out why he randomly gets and runs full speed to the next room or why he decides to find a piece of plastic and drags it into my room in the middle of the night and plays with it? Anyways I'm happy to have him and glad to find this forum.

Oh, yeah, classic case of the zoomies.     Our cats do that, too.

Cats do a lot of weird stuff that's all related to their hunter instinct. Bringing random objects for you to play with is his way of sharing his "prey" with you. I'm sure he's going to keep you amused with his efforts to teach you how to be a cat.

haha zoomies!!! His name from the shelter is whiskers, but we call him panther cat.

Welcome!  Cats are so entertaining.  It sounds like you are really enjoying him.  And my nephew calls me the crazy cat guy, too!
