I got Baby from a friend, assumed she was spayed due to her having her dogs done.... Anyways she was apparently in heat when I got her and she got out.... I know I should've asked to be sure, but know she and the kittens will be "fixed" asap after birth...... That being said, I have her a box set up that she does seem to love. She stays either in the box or looking out of the window..... So.... Stupid question and high hopes (Lol)... Since she is in it so much now and I'm figuring around 3-4 more weeks, chances of her having the kittens there are pretty good.... Right??????

Can you post photos? Is her nipples pink? Can you feel the kittens moving or see them moving?

Most of these links have been readied by our forumist  Red Top Rescue:
We have a good collection of articles in the Cat Health section which you can access by scrolling up to the brown bar, clicking on Articles, and then choosing the Cat Health section and scrolling through the choices.  To make this super easy for you, I am copying the links regarding birth, delivery and newborns for you here.  After reading this information, let us know if you have any more questions.  And good luck with your approaching new arrivals.

Her nipples are enlarged and pink.... You can't feel or see the baby's moving, but you can feel them easily when petting her....I mean, I know she's pregnant, and THAT I'm prepared for, but is there any way of knowing if she'll use her box to have them or is that just a "just in case" thing??

The questions i asked helps me to figure out how far she is.

Can you post photos of her belly?

No there no way to know but i suggest making few more nesting boxes and place them varies places in the house like closets anywhere is fine as long it going to be calm, peaceful and most important she feels safe which will increase the chances of her using a nesting box

I found mom and the new babies in my closet and that's where they stayed unless mom decided that she needed a break and then she'd carry them from the closet to the bed where I was sleeping.  Guess I was the babysitter.

I say another 4-5 weeks but the fact you can feel them moving is confusing me, usually you can only feel them moving around last two weeks,

StefanZ StefanZ would you like to explain to me?

Nay, the  TS feel them, its not the same as feel them move.  If you are good at palpitating, you can feel them there inside yes.   But few are that good on palpitating.  You feel them at first as chestnuts inside, later on they become larger...   Difficult to describe, others can describe it better.

So I presume TS time table is correct.    :)

Okay.... So we have round about 3 weeks to go before our much anticipated kittens arrive  but for the last couple days, my Baby seems scared of me..... Get out of the chair... She runs..... I Walk into the room.... She runs.....
I LOVE my Baby, and would never do anything to hurt her.... I work different hours ( anywhere from 5-10 hrs. mon-fri depending on how many houses I have those days) and we live alone..... Is she just mad at me or is this natural behavior for a pregnant cat?

Don't know why she is skittish. Most pregnant cats are very affectionate, but she seems nervous. Is this her first litter? Have you just acquired her? Are there other animals in your home? Try a feliway diffuser to help relax her. Have you set up safe nesting areas for her to check out?

It is her first litter, I got her from a friend (without realizing she wasn't spayed and in heat til she got home... I will be having all done after kittens are born ) not long before she got pregnant....she has 3 nesting spots, but won't go to any of them anymore.she has been extremely loveable until about Tuesday or so..... I was hoping maybe she just nervous or something about the babies, I'll try that sarthur2..... Thanks

First-time mom and newly acquired. Let's assume this is just a phase. I'd spend extra time petting and reassuring her. She may just be uncomfortable with the pregnancy changes in her body. Let us know if the feliway helps. :)

PS: Wait until the kittens are at least 8 weeks old before spaying her.
