Was arrested yesterday. They say he is responsible for 60% of the junk spam mail we get in our email bins. He was right here in my state too!

I had 5 pieces of spam in my main e-mail account today
..... They were deleted.
It's great that they caught him! Unfortunately, I don't think he's been sending me any spam...I got 120 spam emails today!

That's great news. I suppose it will take a huge load off servers all over the world.
Now, can we get rid of the popups, too? I downloaded a pop blocker but, it didn't work and caused other problems with my computer so, I dumped it.
Wow! I have only received 3 spam in my home email for the past two years!! But I'm pretty guarded with that email. Also, I probably average 2 spam messages a week in my Yahoo email.Originally posted by Kiwideus

That's great news. I emptied my bulk mail at 6 pm tonight when I got back on here just now(my clock says 10:27) There were 81 spam mailings in there and 5 in my inbox
I get tired of all that, I just delete whenever there is anything in the bulk mail I don't even look to see what it is.
So who's responsible for the other 40%? Oh wait I know....
Question: How will he be punished once he's found guilty? Ban him from using a computer the rest of his life?
I am really curious though.
Anyone with 'popup' problems Google Toolbar is really good. It blocks all pop ups, if you need to open a popup you just hold down Ctrl as you click the link, so far it's blocked over 300 for me.
Wow - I can't imagine getting so much spam. I sometimes get 5 or 6 (usually about Viagra), which I simply delete without reading. If I notice an address turning up more than once, I put it in my spam blocker list. The AOL popup blocker is good, too.
