@StefanZ  I know they were mating. I just really hope it didn't stick. The vets near me will not spa her until the babies are 8 weeks. I am really trying to make sure noting happens between the two. I do not want her to have more babies. Since today she tried to get someone to mate with her, does that mean the mating yesterday didn't take?
Nay, its not sure at all, they can have heat several days after a succesfull mating too,  and thus - they can and do mate several times...

If you kNOW she mated, the probability is high it took...   I would recommend spaying, if you dont want to have another litter in 65 days.   The question is only, if you do it asap you can arrange it, or wait a couple of weeks.   I presume you dont want to spay when she is high preg.  Very few people wants it, not me either.

She seems to be gaining weight, just not as fast as I though she would. She eats a lot. But Nursing takes a toll on queens, right? I know mating is instinctual it seems that Mouse and Astrid just do not yet understand. I mean K.C. was all but rubbing her butt in their face and they ran and hissed at her. Doctor on the other hand knows exactly what to do.

They will mate as long as they are in heat - it is not uncommon for kittens in the same litter to have different fathers. So whether the matingyeaterday took or not, you must try to stop it happening again.

I know I need to keep them apart. Believe me I do not want her to have another litter. Keeping her inside AND away from doctor is hard. I am really hoping that the breeding did not take.

K.C. hasn't tried to mate with any of the boys for the past 6 days. I am hoping it is either it has passed or she is experiencing a false pregnancy. It seems we will probably be keeping both kittens and K.C. Of course they will all be spayed! I also plan on getting my boys fixed. It will take time though. Just for my three boys it is over 540 dollars and I know it will be more for the girls. Here are some updated pictures of the babies.

I didn't realize you had all these little bun babies too!   What amazing photographs.   They must keep you pretty busy what with all the clearing out, feeding and socializing.

I hope you manage to cover the costs for the neuter / spay.  Perhaps your vet would come up with a payment plan or something to ensure there are no accidental pregnancies due to delays?

Yes. We rais meat animals. We currently have rabbits, chickens, and ducks. What with the bird flu going around the prices on meat is going way up! I love that we are so self sufficient. We are going to wait to get the kittens spayed until after we get K.C done. I have no idea what shots she has or has not had.

LoL,  I hope the kittens don't panic and think they are for meat too!
At least those little rabbits are having a happy life there.  I would be a disaster; I don't think I could eat something I had raised. Silly I know.  I have friends who raise pigs and chickens on a small holding and have a vegetable and fruit plot so pretty independent.  They say that if you are going to eat meat it is the best way as you know you have treated them well and respected them.

Still think your photos are amazing even though the rabbits are not companions.

Lol :D Yup, all of our meat animals are treated very well. They live a happy life until they are butchered. They get to run around and play with the other animals. Non of our meat animals are kept in cages (Except those who escape!!) We pet and play with the meat animals just as much as our pets. It helps that instead of them having names they are called things like taco. It is easier to not get attached that way. I do love those pictures. Some of those babies will be kept for our breeding stock. Our breeders are our pets. Even after they can no longer breed they will still be with us. After they are retired they will go out in a run and live out the rest of their lives. At least this way I know that what I eat was treated right and with care. It was not locked up and mistreated.

Is it possible to feel things moving in a cats stomach? I do not just mean kittens. Like when a human is hungry or when they are digesting food you can feel it when you place your hand on their stomach. Is it like that with cats? And when is the soonest you can feel babies move? And I mean the absolute soonest.

It sounds as though you suspect that your cat may be pregnant again.

This does not answer any of my questions. And yes. Earlier in this thread I posted about how my brother kept letting Kasey out of his room at night and this resulted in a mating. Though I have wondered if you could feel anything else moving in a cat. For instance you can see and feel a rabbits stomach rolling after they eat. If the mating took she would only be 5 weeks along which would still be 4 weeks from the birth. Isn't it a little early to feel babies already? So can you feel anything else moving in a cats stomach?

I've read you can feel gas.  But I think that would be after eating and not all the time.  So is this a constant or does it come and go?

This is the first time I felt it. Another question. After Kasey had the kittens I palpated her to see if she had anymore. She didn't birth anymore but I felt something in her stomach. Is it possible to feel her organs? She was VERY thin. And I do mean very. She was almost emaciated after she had them.
