If she was pregnant that soon the kittens wouldn't be large enough to feel.
That is why I am confused. There is no way she got pregnant that soon. She was locked up in my room when I found her and she didn't come out until the kittens need human interaction all the time. People would come in to see them but until they were 4 weeks they all stayed in my room. Then when I started letting them out my boys were outside in a run. They were brought in at night which is when Kasey was locked up in my brothers room. So if the mating took then she would be 5 weeks along. Isn't that too soon to feel babies?

Ok so the cat pregnancy lasts roughly 65 days, which is aprox. 9 weeks.  You should see kittens moving 2-3 weeks before birth.  So if she is pregnant you should see the kittens moving in 2 weeks .  . . .

Does she look bigger?  What is going on with the last litter?  Are you keeping any?

Looking back at your thread, it appears that KC may have mated closer to 6 weeks ago. Because her uterus is already stretched from a previous pregnancy, and possibly a bigger litter, and perhaps closer to six weeks along, it would not be unusual for you to begin detecting kitten movement 3 weeks before she is due. How old are the kittens from her previous litter? Are they eating solids well and weaning? Mom will need all her milk for her new babies soon.

I have no idea what happened in her last litter. I found her 2 days before she gave birth. I didn't feel anything moving until 8 hours before the birthing. When the kittens were about a week old I tried EVERYTHING to get her to gain weight. She was getting KMR, wet food, and unlimited kibble. At first I did not see any difference and then she started to gain. She was gaining really fast too. It was not slow. One week she was supper skinny and the next she had gained like four pounds. She gained weight for three weeks or so until she stopped. And now here we are. She hasn't gained any weight for a little bit. We kept the survivng two of the last litter. We did not want her pregnant again. We have her and the kittens booked to be spayed on the 30th of July. THat way her milk will be all dried up and the kittens will be fully weaned. Could this be a false pregnancy? My dog had a false pregnancy right after we got her spayed.

6 WEEKS? They are almost weaned completely. They still drink a little each day but I think that is more to stay hydrated. It has been getting hotter here and the kittens are still learning how to drink water out of the water dish. Right now they shove their faces in and then lick the water off. I really hope she is not pregnant. This is the last thing she needs. She has just over a month until her spay date. How long far along can a cat be before the vet will not spay them?

That is a question you need to ask your vet. Every vet has their own personal guidelines.

I suggest you call and explain that you think she is pregnant again, and ask if they will go ahead and perform the spay now.

There is always a chance it could be a false pregnancy, but it's doubtful.

I don't have the money top do it now. It has been booked on this date for a little bit. It gives me enough time to get the money I need so that all of these guys will have everything they need after the spay.

Sorry about that. You should prepare for a new litter of kittens around the third week in July. Are the sides of her tummy getting bigger? And at least the others will get spayed and neutered July 30th before anything else happens fertility-wise.

Do you have a Humane Society nearby? They perform spays at a fraction of the cost of a private vet.

She hasn't gotten any bigger for the past week. She is round though. If you look at her you would assume she was pregnant, but with how much she is eating she should still be gaining weight especially if she was pregnant. How soon after she gives birth can she be fixed?

That's too bad.  I was thinking you could ask for a job w/the vet.  You seem very good with animals.  Is there a pet store nearby?

I do love animals. I hope to own a shelter one day. There are two pet stores near me. One of them buys animals from backyard breeders and sells them for twice the amount that they buy them and the other does not take very good care of their animals. I am thinking about trying to get a job at the first one. To see if it really is bad or if people just say that.

I'd say around the 4-week mark. The kittens will be ready to begin eating wet food, and she'll still be able to nurse following her spay.

And you can set aside the money so you'll have it ready. Although vets prefer cats to be done weaning and dried up, they will spay earlier if you make the appointment and insist. It's preferable to repeat pregnancies.

You might want to check the prices at the Humane Society versus your vet. Since you need multiple animals spayed/neutered, it could be worth the savings to drive them all an hour for the surgery. It really is a huge cost savings.

It is not cheaper. I looked a bit ago. Well if she is pregnant then she will be getting fixed as soon as she can. I am going to call the vet and see how far along she can get before they will no longer fix her. Maybe I can move the appointment up.

Oh, I thought the vet was an hour away.  Could you work off some of the cost at the vet?  Cleaning cages, sweeping up?  I had a friend who cleaned the bathrooms at a dojo so her kids could have karate lessons.

The humane society is an hour away. One of the vets near me are super pricey. They have a 40 dollar office visit for each animal and 130 dollars for each spay. I have to check at the other one, but I heard it was cheaper. I am going to call and see how much it is and if it is cheaper then I am switching to them.

What does the Humane Society that is one hour away charge for a spay?

Sorry it has been so long. I forgot my password, but didn't want to change, I gave up though. Just in gas alone it isn't worth it. It is 40 dollars there and I have to fill out paper work and take it to them in person so it is 80 dollars just in gas. My vet said that since Kasey is a stray she is doing her surgery half off. Kasey is still very pregnant, but it has been more than 9 weeks by now, in fact yesterday was 9 weeks exactly. How much longer can she go before this could harm her? I am still not sure that she really is pregnant since I haven't felt babies move at all. Last time I felt babies move 8 hours before she gave birth so I am hoping that it will happen this time as well. I thought at one point she might give birth because she was cleaning herself like crazy and she kept throwing up, but nope. She has a few nests that I set up for her. She has a box that she insists sitting on top of and a laundry basket since she gave birth in one before. She has also been wanting me to pet her more, and she has been sleeping a lot more. She and her other two kittens still have the spay date for the 30th. The vet said they will spay her up to full term. So we will see how everything goes.
