Hey everyone! i have recently taken in a stray cat, who I saw mating with another cat.  As soon as possible I am going to spay her, but now it is too late for she is pregnant.  I was wondering if you could tell me what color the kittens are going to be.  The dad is the blu/grey and white, and the mother is the brown tabby.  The brown tabbys mother was all black...if that matters...

Thanks!!

Tabby is dominant.  So the father had no tabby genes.  The mother has only one tabby gene in that gene pair, as her mother wasnt tabby.  Her father must have been tabby thougt.

Thus, half of her kittens will be tabbyes.   The other half will be mostly black, may have other colors too, but they will be much black in them, as there comes in black from both mom and dad..

If you took the female recently, her pregnancy is fresh.  You can still spay her if you so wish, its no big deal for any decently skilled vet.   Its no ethical problem eaither till the foetuses begin to move.  Even then, kittens cant survive if delivered more than 3 days early. Unlike human babies.

Good luck!

Thanks!! Thats what I thought about the colors. So ever since I took her in she has been pooping and peeing outside the box on random parts of the carpet...it stopped for about a month and then we moved and she hasnt stopped..when she was outside she seemed happy..and then I let her inside, and she was good for a day or two and now has started to go outside the box again...do you think it is because she wants to be outdoors, or because she isn't fixed.  I have tried using two different boxes, new litter, and pretty much every trick in the book.  Thanks for you help :)
