Goes to litter box immediately after eating

Is this a sign of digestive issues? My cat goes to the litter box immediately after eating. Sometimes she goes after only eating a couple bites and comes back and eats more. Usually she just pees a little when she does this. It's not every time she eats, but more often than not. I don't think she's constipated, there's been a little poop every day. (Solid, until a couple days ago, small, but she's barely eating.)

She has other signs of pain when eating (like hunching in a corner afterwards), but I was wondering if I should add this to the list of symptoms to being to the vet tomorrow.

I recently read where it is healthy. Can't remember how or where i found it. Taking food in triggers the colon/ bladder to release what it is holding. The same with people.

I would bring all of it to the vet's attention.

Mine always relieve themselves after eating, but not like that. Yes, add it to the list for the vet - add anything that seems awry. Good luck with your kitty.

Thanks, I just didn't want to go in and be the person that's like, "....and she covers her poop after pooping"  and the vet say "that's what cats normally do, you're crazy."

What made me think it was related to her digestive tract issues was that sometimes she'll ask for food, then she'll sniff it, try to bury it, go sit in the litter box, and then come back and eat.

It's better to sound crazy than to leave things out. I'd trust your instincts since you know your cat best and if what she's doing is odd, then it won't hurt to bring it up to the vet.

Please keep us updated and hopefully it's all good news

This is a very old thread and most of those who posted have not been back in years, so you will probably not receive any replies.
There was no resolution posted, so referring this to your vet is the best idea. An animal who sits in a hunched over position, as as mentioned in the thread, may possibly have a pancreatic problem.
