to get rid of mildew? My shower has mildew in between the tiles and no matter what I do I can't get rid of it. I tried Soft Scrub but that only turns is gray instead of actually removing it.

It's so gross! Ew! Help help help.

I don't know if it works on mildew, but there is some really strong cleaner called Zap that works on tough stains - I used it to get rid of hard-water stains and discoloration on my shower, and it worked great. I don't have any right now or I would check the back of the bottle to see if it works on mildew.

Otherwise, I know there are mildew cleaners out there, but my mind is a blank right now. I hope somebody else can be more help!

I tend to lean towards using Tilex Mildew. It works, although it doesn't smell good at all.

Straight bleach is the ONLY way to rid mildew completely.

Be very careful though, it will ruin your clothes very easily so stand back while you pour!

I agree with the bleach - could you put some in a spray bottle so that you won't have to worry about it splashing on you?

Bleach, make sure the room is well-ventilated when you use it. Also once it goes away this little machine will help keep it away. We have a problem with mold in our one bathroom, and I started running this machine about a month ago- it works great to knock down the mold. Also works good in the cat room around litter pans..
