Very unexpected...

One of my roommates cat's went over the rainbow bridge today.  Coincidentally, the same day that one of our kittens went to her new home. 

He may not have been my cat, but I've lived with him since last November.  We was the most loving of my roommates cats.  He's been his normal self, until early yesterday, he became extremely lethargic, and just had that body language of a cat that says he feels terrible.  So today, we rushed him to the vet, where they said that his kidneys were failing and that at this point, it was a slim chance for survival.  We all agreed, we didn't want him to continue suffering. 

In the video, Boots is the one, well... with the boots.  Lol.

i'm so sorry. it's obvious he lived in a cat-friendly home. 

Aw, thank you for posting the video and the beautiful pictures.  I am very sorry for your loss, and for that of your roommates.  What a wonderful environment you live in, and I know everyone (people and cats) are the better for it.

Godspeed over Rainbow Bridge, Boots!!  The decision was difficult but the right one, as anyone who has had kidney problems will tell you!

I love the video and pix - and the catification of the room! Memories of happier days~ please give your roommate and all the kitties my condolences.

How sad for you & your roommate!  Looks like Boots had a nice home & friends to play with.  He will be missed by his friends as well.  Beautiful pictures of Boots!

It is so hard to learn to live without that special, loving kitty in your house and your life. You gave the final act of love by not letting that sweet one suffer, even though I'm sure it broke your heart to do so. Boots was very much loved and will stay forever in your heart. I pray that he made it safely to the Rainbow Bridge where he will comfort you from afar in your dreams and your precious memories. RIP beautiful Boots!

I love that your dog is just standing there watching the cats like he thinks they're all crazy. What a great idea to put the blanket (or whatever it is) on the wall for the cats to leap on. I'm sorry for you and your roommate's loss, Renzie. What a terrific family for a cat to have.

Thank you, everyone.  It's been really surreal.  One day he's sunbathing on the kitchen table, watching the dogs play in the yard and the next, he's just gone.

Also, it's a strip of carpet that is hanging on the wall.  It's held up as a scratch pad, and a climbing wall, really well.  They all love it.  Boots was the only one who ever climbed to the top.

whew...can't imagine how devastating since it was such a shock like that... I'm so sorry.. Boots was beautiful
