Hi everyone, it's been a while since I posted and I'm beside myself and devastated. I was originally supposed to move to fl with my son but that did not workout. I could not rehome my cats in time. So i moved in with a friend ive known for quite a while. WITH ALL 4 OF MY CATS!But less than 11/2 months later, i was told the cats had to go or i would. I was devastated! I found a friend to take all 4, but since then i have found thier living situation to be less than optimal. They are in a fairly smallish bedroom with a bathroom. There are about 10-12 cats in there.when i went to visit them, i found my Baby dead. Yes, dead. I don't know how long she'd been like that, but I was horrified! She had been sick, but i was told she was better. Tippy would not come to me or look at me. Poppy just looked at me with haunted eyes. I don't know what to do. I've been sick since then and haven't gotten back over there. All she says is that they are "fine"

No, he said I had to get rid of them. Ive been thru hell and high water with them and managed to hang on to them. This is breaking my heart. I've had tippy since she was2 days old and Poppy from the time he adopted me after a TNR i did years ago. I live in Phoenix. My son lives in Fl.

Contact your nearest no-kill shelter and ask if they have a program where cats can be fostered for a certain length of time. Then find a place of your own where you can keep your cats. Living with someone else is usually not a good option when you have pets unless that person is as crazy about pets as you are about yours. Good luck.

Sometimes if you post something about your situation locally at vets, shelters, even the supermarket i.e. person with three cats needs to rent room in cat-friendly home (of course I dont know how much rent you could pay but you would put that in) you might find a large room or basement apartment to rent.  When I was saving money to buy a horse (many, many years ago) I was able to rent a room along with my three cats.  The cats were confined to my room but it was big and airy, and had an attached bathroom which I shared with the landlady but didn't allow the cats in.  That worked out fine, and when the person who rented her downstairs efficiency apartmen moved out, I moved down there and got more space.    Stayed there a couple of years until I moved into my then boyfriend's farmhouse where we lived in peace for several years.  Just saying those places exist, usually people who live in the country and have larger houses with extra rooms.  I was quiet and didn't smoke, and kept the cats clean.  She needed to rent out the room and the basement apt. because her husband had left and she needed the money.
