I can now feel the kittens inside her moving. She has white flaky stuff on her nipples. When she is cuddled next to me she pushing my hand to her belly so I rub it gently for her and when I do this she sort of lays in the birthing position but she still has her hearty appetite at the moment.
just wondering if anyone knows how close we may be?

Okay so my cat lost her mucus plug yesterday but still no kittens. I can still feel them moving and shes shown little signs of labour. Shes walked around and meowed but only done this twice. Should i be worried?

Wow. I notice we thought she was in labor almost 3 weeks ago! But now she's actually lost her mucous plug, so it's moving in the right direction. Just be patient. Nothing you can do but wait unless she appears in distress. :)

Just be available to her as much as you can.  It sounds like she's fine and you're nervous, so maybe take a few deep breaths and reread the birthing articles so you feel confident that you can provide support and help if needed.  Just remember, cats have been giving birth without human help for many years and it usually turns out just fine.  Keep us posted!

So today she has started meowing and will not leave me alone. Shes meowing a lot but not really loud as its only really started the last hour. I can't feel the kittens moving and she does seem restless. She will be comfy but then move. Do you think the kittens are getting ready to make an appearance?

Definitely. Could be a day or two but she sounds like she's dropped and the process is starting.

The restlessness is indicative of going in to labor or pre-labor. You're on your way!

Quite a while. She's probably having contractions. Babies could come overnight or tomorrow. My cat paced and was uncomfortable all day on a Saturday. Slept on top of me that night, and finally began having kittens around 7:30am Sunday.

Can you tell whether she's dilating? She should be dilating if she's in labor. Any discharge?

Poor baby. She's in pain and can't get comfortable. Glad you're able to be with her.

What do you mean dilated? Yes shes had discharge she cleans it away pretty quickly shes also likcing her nipples à lot. Shes in her birthing area now and has calmed down but i think i seen her trying to push.
Ill be by her side all the way, love my little girl to bits

Beginning to open up her vulva, so the babies can come out.

If she has began to active phase with pushing, we dont want it to be too long...  Prephase may be longer, but not active pushing    (and yes, when they push they are dilated too)
